Based on the true story of the luxury cruise ship "Diamond Princess", where the first outbreak of COVID-19 occurred in Japan, this drama is an original screenplay that portrays the struggles of doctors and nurses on the frontlines against an unknown virus.

On February 3, 2020, a luxury cruise ship carrying 3,711 passengers and crew arrived at Yokohama Port. A passenger who had disembarked in Hong Kong was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19, and over 100 people on board reported symptoms. Japan had no organization specialized in responding to large-scale viral outbreaks at the time, and so DMAT, a volunteer medical organization specializing in disaster medical care, was suddenly deployed. They risked their own lives battling a virus for which there was no cure, and continued to fight until every last passenger disembarked.

Shun Oguri plays Yuki Hideharu, the DMAT commander responsible for the emergency response headquarters.

Tori Matsuzaka portrays Nobutaka Tatematsu, an official from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

Sosuke Ikematsu plays Sanada Haruto, a DMAT member responding at the scene,
and Yosuke Kubozuka appears as Dr. Yukiyoshi Sendo.

The supporting cast includes Nana Mori, Yuki Sakurai, Rie Miura, Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Ken Mitsuishi, and Kenichi Takito.

The film is planned, written, and produced by Jun Masumoto, known for Code Blue: Doctor Heli Emergency Lifesaving, and is directed by Mitsusai Sekine, best known for Just Being Alive.
