Suzuki Alto 2025 is Back and Smarter Than Ever with Hybrid Options

More than three years after the ninth-generation Suzuki Alto made its debut in late 2021, the model has finally received a facelift in Japan in 2025. While the update is considered minor, the changes are quite significant—particularly in terms of front-end design and active safety technology.
The 2025 Suzuki Alto further establishes itself as a favorite city car with the introduction of four different variants: A, L, Hybrid S, and Hybrid X. Each is aimed at a different segment of users, from first-time drivers to those who prioritize fuel efficiency and eco-friendly technology.
The Alto is available in four variants—A, L, Hybrid S, and Hybrid X—priced between ¥1,142,900 and ¥1,639,000 (global pricing to follow). The A and L variants are powered by an R06A 658cc inline-three petrol engine that produces 46 PS (46 hp or 34 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a CVT and can be configured with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
