Real Madrid ready to sell Rodrygo
Real Madrid are reportedly open to selling Rodrygo in the summer of 2025, with Arsenal closely monitoring the situation. The Gunners have reportedly initiated preliminary discussions with the Brazilian winger's representatives in recent weeks, as Rodrygo's valuation is understood to be around €90 million.
Rodrygo's position at Real Madrid appears to be weakening, as evidenced by his participation in only two of four matches during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Intense competition from star players like Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and new signing Dean Huijsen puts the 24-year-old at risk of departing the Bernabéu.
Rodrygo, who can operate on both wings, was previously linked with Liverpool before joining Real Madrid from Santos in 2019. Should he join Arsenal, he is expected to provide valuable depth and experience to Mikel Arteta's youthful squad.
In addition to Rodrygo, Arsenal are also reportedly targeting other players, including Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), Nico Williams (Athletic Club), and midfield options like Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. They are also said to be in negotiations for central defender Cristhian Mosquera (Valencia) and two forwards, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
These numerous transfer movements highlight Arsenal's strong determination to bolster their squad and compete for the Premier League title in the 2025/26 season.
